Ozge Tatlısöz Akyel

With over 17 years of experience, Ozge Tatlısöz Akyel is a passionate HR leader who excels at turning challenges into opportunities. She has worked in sectors such as FMCG (CarrefourSA), state banking (VakıfBank), and cosmetics and manufacturing (Flormar), elevating her expertise in Human Resources and Organizational Development to the next level.

At a pivotal point in her career, Ozge took the brave step of leaving Flormar to pursue her long-held dream of starting her own business, founding ID Turkey. Under her leadership, ID Turkey quickly became recognized as a consultancy firm that makes a difference, forging successful partnerships with many companies. She has served as a facilitator and coach in Great Place to Work (GPTW) projects and has specialized in designing and implementing assessment centers for C-Level executives.

ID Turkey (Influence & Development) offers tailored solutions for organizations, providing training and leadership development programs, cultural alignment projects, and diversity and inclusion training. Additionally, it provides individual services such as executive coaching, team coaching, and change mentoring. ID Turkey, based in Istanbul, continues to grow and strengthen with a network of expert partners.

IDea HR Company: Based in Dubai, this HR consulting firm serves the entire GCC region. Actively engaged in recruitment projects, IDea HR also supports companies with HR consulting, performance improvement, and productivity enhancement initiatives, offering bespoke solutions for organizations. On an individual level, it provides executive and career coaching, along with services for CV preparation and interview training. The firm enriches its offerings with project-based collaborations with expert consultants.

A certified Co-Active coach and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Ozge has over 300 hours of coaching experience, helping individuals and teams achieve both professional and personal goals.

She also mentors individuals through EMCC Turkey, providing guidance and support.

Strong Academic Background:
Ozge holds a degree in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations from Anadolu University and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Bahçeşehir University. She has taught in the MBA HR Certificate Program at Bahçeşehir University, Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul Aydın University, and Haliç University, and in the Postgraduate Program in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Talent Management, and Managerial Competencies at Bahçeşehir University. Currently, she continues to give lectures as a guest lecturer at various universities.

Active Networker and Thought Leader:
Ozge is known for her ability to connect and bring people together. She has a vast network and values building relationships. She actively participates in numerous business and social networks. With strong connections in Turkey and Dubai, she has led the HR Committee at the Turkish Business Council in Dubai and voluntarily supports the Turkish HR Professionals group in Dubai.

She holds memberships and responsibilities in several organizations, including the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), the International Organization Development Association (IODA), and Peryön, the Turkish HR Association.

Inspired by her coaching experience, Ozge created the “Cesur Sorular” podcast, where she shares compelling stories and engages in insightful conversations with guests by asking a few questions.

Commitment to Social Responsibility:
Ozge regularly participates in social responsibility projects and volunteer work. She has demonstrated her commitment to improving society by leading various non-profit organizations and is a supporter of KAÇUV and TOG. In addition, she adopts numerous practices in her personal and professional life to reduce her carbon footprint.

A Well-Rounded Individual:
Outside of work, Ozge enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, coffee shops, and living spaces in the cities she visits or resides in, and socializing in various networking groups. She is also a sports enthusiast who loves playing Padel and her new passion, golf.

Motherhood has brought out a whole new side of Ozge, and her life has taken on deeper meaning with her son, who continues to teach her many things.
